WEEK 6 UPDATE

April 2, 2011 by Phil and Elin Henderson

Week 6 is complete. We have taught 24 of the 70+ lessons that we have prepared so we are about 1/3 of the way through. This was a week of contrasts. For one thing, on Monday we had our biggest group in attendance since we started teaching, on Thursday we had the smallest. Fluctuating attendance has been particularly frustrating to us. We usually have a pretty steady number of people at the meetings. Thursday was an exception because there was another conflicting event taking place in the village so we knew in advance we would be low. What is frustrating is that while some people attend faithfully others seem to come and go. Some people do have legitimate excuses, especially the village leaders. We understand that missing sessions is part of life, but some people miss lessons because they simply made a choice not to attend.

We thank the Lord that He is at work. We have told some of those stories in other posts. Most of all, please pray for faithful attendance.
