3 STRIKES AND YOU’RE OUT

April 7, 2011 by Phil and Elin Henderson

Strike 1 – Today was a public holiday. We thought it might affect the teaching a little but we didn’t change our teaching plans most of the people attending wouldn’t know it was a public holiday. Strike 2 – Later in the morning we heard there had been a death in the village and the funeral happened to be scheduled at the exact time of the teaching. We knew family and neighbors and religious leaders would be at the funeral. We thought we would still go to the teaching site and make a decision when we saw how many people showed up. Strike 3 – Just about the time that people would start thinking about heading towards the teaching site it started to rain. So we struck out today. We will teach this lesson on Monday.
