While Scripture is being read, I (Elin) try and help the ladies sitting around me to follow along, even if they aren’t able to read. It is a simple thing, but helps to encourage pre-literacy skills and when they can pick out a word that they recognize, they get very excited! Hopefully it will encourage them to be part of the upcoming literacy program.
