We are now in our fourth week of literacy. Next week we will finish up the first of four primers. We continue to move at a rapid pace and the class is keeping up well despite the heat. (It went into the triple digits this past week!) Once we finish primer one the course will start moving even faster. Lord willing we will finish up in about 2 more months.
This picture is of me (Elin) working through the syllable cards which each student. We teach by syllable and a daily review of each syllable learned so far is part of our routine. This helps the students to be able to quickly sound out the words.
