Some of you may remember that a couple of few years one of my friends was very sick. We asked for prayer for him and people all over the world responded by praying for him to get better. Our prayer at the time was twofold, first that he would recover and second that he would live long enough to hear the teaching about what his Savior did for him. At the time we were able to report that he recovered from his sickness. Now I would like to report again…
One afternoon this week I happened to stop by his house. He was sitting there listening to one of the media players. As I sat down he said to me “I am listening to Lesson 69. It is about the death of Jesus. I always listen to this lesson. It is my favorite. I listen to it because it reminds me of the mercy that God showed us. If it wasn’t for Jesus dying on the cross none of us would have any hope of being saved. There is no other way. If it wasn’t for Jesus’ death we would be in big trouble.”
We praise the Lord for answered prayer. This man is a faithful attender at the teaching sessions and both his wives have been tracking along very well and have also been clear in their testimonies. Most of all he is one of the quickest to stand up for what he believes.
Please praise the Lord with us for answered prayer and for His gracious work in this man’s life. Please pray for more Mwinika people to reach the same level of clear understanding and trust and to be as fearless in their standing up for what they believe.
