Literacy Graduation Ceremony

October 27, 2010 by Phil and Elin Henderson

The first ever graduation from a Mwinika Literacy class occurred last Friday afternoon. The turn out was great – over 70 people including many local, government and family leaders. The 11 students proudly received their diplomas and the recognition given to them. Afterwards we had a big meal to commemorate the day. This gave a great opportunity to share once again the reasons why we are here and our goal to share with them the message of God’s Word! It ended with a meeting to begin dialoguing with local leaders as to a time and place for the Bible teaching to begin. Thank you for your prayers for this day and please continue to pray for further interest in literacy and in learning more of God’s word!
