PREPARATIONS UNDERWAY FOR NEXT LITERACY CLASS

September 17, 2011 by Phil and Elin Henderson

Last week I (Elin) was able to meet with the various village leaders in regards to the upcoming literacy class. We agreed that on Thursday (the 15th) we would offer a registration day for all interested in participating in the course. Myself, one of the leaders, and a prior student who will be helping me teach the literacy class worked together to register those who came. We offer two courses: a three-month course for those who have a little bit of schooling and basic reading/writing skills, and a six-month course for those who have no background in schooling at all. We will be starting in a week or so with a three-month class. We have room for more students in the upcoming class so will be offering another registration day next Thursday (22nd) for those who weren’t able to register this past week.

Pray with us that interest will continue to grow for literacy and that we will be able to register at least another 5 people to fill our upcoming class.
