Missions Conference at Foothill Bible Church provided opportunities to hear about how God is making Himself known around the world. Personally, I was challenged by the lives and ministries of the missionaries who shared. Listening to others share about their lives, ministries, and the struggles they faced reminded me of the sacrifice required of those who are making the Gospel known–whether at home or overseas. The need to deny self and walk with God were recurring themes as well as God’s work of grace in our lives.
As I prepare to go overseas next month, it was good to be reminded of the challenges of cross-cultural ministry. I also appreciated hearing the other missionaries sharing about how God’s grace has been sufficient all along the way. As I leave for Papua New Guinea, I also look back on God’s grace that has brought me to where I am, and I know that God’s grace will continue to be sufficient in the days ahead.
