Recently our pastor and I (Randy) attended a four day seminar on Chronological Bible teaching (Narrative). The seminar was attended by 20 pastors, missionaries, and Bible students, studying why “Chron teaching” (as it is sometimes called) is an effective tool for evangelism and discipleship, and learning how to use it.

This is one of the many aspects of our ministry with Mike and Trisha Goddard in Mobilizing local churches and believers, helping them to understand their responsibility and part in tribal and world evangelization and discipleship, as well as equipping, helping and working more closely with them.
I hope to attend another seminar on Chron teaching in the fall, with some of our fellow missionaries (in English this time). As with spiritual growth, our equipping for the ministries the Lord has entrusted us with doesn’t end, but is an ongoing process.

Sitting here, I’m enjoying some cooler weather, for a change. It has been down below 60º F the last couple nights. Chilly, but nice. :- )

The cooler weather has been accompanied by a bit of rain over the last few days and we are praying it will head into the “chaco” area on the western side of Paraguay. The folks there have had a drought for many months but did get enough the other day to fill their cisterns for drinking water. It is unusual to get rain in May, as their rainy season is basically over for the year, but such a blessing.

With some cooler weather we even started a small fire in the fireplace in our house, for a change. Laura (and our dog and cats) loved it. :- ) It’s funny how you notice the cold more (60º F) after having temperatures well over 110º F for a while.

Here’s a ministry update glimpse at some of our other varied areas of ministry…

The middle of June we will have a new family arriving to help here in NTM Paraguay at the NTM MK school, Brad and Shilo Cain. They had served previously in Venezuela.

I’ll have a month to cover areas language, culture, etc. that I would normally cover over a longer period of time, so I’d appreciate your prayers as I prepare, and for wisdom and guidance in the best use of our time together.

Helping our missionaries with immigration and other paperwork has taken a bunch of time lately. We are looking for someone to help this. It would be a huge help for me if I could delegate that area of responsibility to a responsible “gestor” (someone who helps our missionaries solicit documents). Pray together with us for this need.
