WHY?
This is a word that has been on my mind a lot recently. In everything I do or say or think I have been asking WHY? By asking this question GOD has been showing me how often I do things, say things, and think things for my own benefit and for my own personal satisfaction. GOD desires to be my LIFE and I am reminded of 1Corinthians 6:20 “For you are bought with a price, therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are GOD’s.” I am not to do things for my benefit or my satisfaction but for HIS honor and glory as I worship HIM and HIM alone.
Our continued prayer and desire is to be used for GOD’s honor and glory. We have been blessed and are thankful for your partnership with us in the ministry of caring for missionaries. Missionaries serving in many different countries around the world as well as missionaries who serve in the United States have been in our home and we along with YOU have been able to point them to the LORD and care for them. We enjoy giving them a place to sleep and sharing meals together and spend time with them. We have the opportunity to listen to them and show them the love of GOD. Please continue to pray and ask GOD to continue to give us wisdom in how to come alongside missionaries and be a blessing in their lives.
We would also invite each of YOU to ask the question, WHY? Is GOD being glorified and honored in everything YOU do, say and think? What a privilege it is to serve the KING of KINGS and LORD of LORDS. What a privilege to see HIM be worshiped and get the honor and glory due HIM.
Thank YOU for your faithfulness, encouragement and friendship. YOU have been a blessing in our lives and we do love and appreciate each one of YOU. Remember our desire is to also be a blessing to each of YOU. WHY? So that we can both see the LORD JESUS CHRIST receive all of our worship and praise as we serve HIM together and make HIS NAME known throughout the whole earth.
The two missionary families in this Tribe came thru the Waukesha Bible School when we were on staff there. Below are some testimonies shared by believers in this tribe. You may or may not have time to read all of these testimonies … we have summed a few of them up as they are too long to write.
“Not to us, Oh Lord, Not to Us …but to YOUR NAME be the glory because of your love & faithfulness.” (Ps. 115:1)
JANET: (and her son) “I was an angry, hateful lady before. I said, ‘God, I hate my husband Keno. He uses all we have on home brew alcohol. He is a crazy drunk. Let him die! But … if you don’t get rid of him, you have to do something to change him.’ God did more than I ever thought he could do. God changed both my husband and he changed me as well. He saved both of us by His big grace. Now, I love my husband.”
KENO: (Janet’s husband) “You all know me. Whenever we as a village used to meet to talk about things, I used to run and hide. I was afraid to talk in public, so I hid. I refused to talk. But now I am a different person. I want to thank God for what he has done. He has changed me and given me the courage to talk. It is all because of the Spirit of God that I can preach the Word of God. I no longer fear what people think about me because I am only speaking the words the Spirit of God gives me. It is all him who steers me, so I am not afraid. That is all.”
