Thank You so very much for your prayers for us these past few months.
We pray you all had a great time with your loved ones during the holiday season.
Randy & I enjoyed a great Thanks Giving, Christmas, and New Years with family and friends.
As I sit and start to write this letter, I (Linda) am looking out the door of our guest room here at our New Tribes Mission home office in Sanford, Florida. The guest room has a lovely view of the lake and river walk. Sorry all those whom are buried beneath the snow. This letter will not get finished and sent for several weeks, so by the time you receive it we will be back in Snowy, Cold, Wisconsin. 🙂
I was able to travel with Randy for the first couple of weeks in January. Randy was in Member Care Committee meetings the first week, then we where able to visit friends in the area, then I flew home and Randy remained to help facilitate two more workshops before driving home.
Randy and I have spent some time reflecting on our various ministries of our past many years with New Tribes Mission.
Why are we in New Tribes Mission?
Over 25 years ago, we believed God directed us to be missionaries with NTM. We clearly saw a huge need, that there are many men, women, and children around the world that have never heard that Jesus loves them and died for their sins in order for them to have the same relationship with God as we do. We count it a privilege and blessing to represent Jesus to those who have never heard His name.
What are we doing in New Tribes Mission?
Randy and I began our journey with New Tribes in 1984 – 1987, in the training to be part of New Tribes Missions.
In 1987, we were a part of the staff at Cornetsville, KY, at our training center until 1990. We then moved to the Waukesha Bible School in WI. to be part of the staff there, where we spent 10 years of service. In 2000, we moved over seas to Papua New Guinea for 2 1/2 years before returning to the Milwaukee area in WI. In 2003, we began the Regional Member Care ministry and continue in this ministry today.
How do we do our ministry?
Foremost we believe that God will do all things thru us as we allow Him to be our very life. We also believe that God has commanded us to proclaim His name to the ends of the earth. It takes a team to accomplish these things and we can’t express strong enough how thankful we are for each of you, we do need each of you. We each have the opportunity to be a part of this job of world evangelization. We need your encouragement! We need your prayers! We need your monthly financial support! We need your input in our lives! It truly does take a team and we can’t do it alone. Why? There are still many men, women, and children around the world that have never heard that Jesus loves them and died for them. We believe that GOD is not willing that any should perish. We count it a privilege to be His ambassadors along side of YOU.
If you would like more information on how you can be involved more directly, please don’t hesitate to write, email or call us. We need more people to be part of our team!
In His service, Randy and Linda Wood
