Recently a friend sent us some thoughts from Romans 15:13 that were really good. Romans 15:13 says, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Our friend said, “I was struck with the fact that I can only have joy and peace when I believe God. When I don’t take God at His word, when I don’t trust, I have stress and anxiety.” The words of our friend has really made me think and ponder a bit on WE as Unbelieving Christians. As we go through life as a Christian, are we living in Unbelief or are we truly believing God. I can see how we believe in our minds and intellect and yet in our emotions, feeling and heart we live in unbelief. When I worry, get discouraged, doubt etc. etc. is it because I am not believing God. We serve a God who is faithful and cannot lie and has given us so many promises that we can count on. I want to be a believing Christian!
We are so Thankful to God for his faithfulness in our lives and for all the ways He allows us to serve Him by living His life through us. We know we can do nothing of ourselves and yet what a promise that we can do all things through Christ Jesus our Lord.
We are looking forward to time with a lot of family and friends in the next few months with Thanksgiving and Christmas just around the corner. We do pray for each of you also, that these times would give all of us opportunities to Thank the Lord, Praise the Lord and be a blessing to others and enjoy making His Name known.
The ministry of Member Care that each of you are a part of in our lives continues to go well. When we are asked what we do in Member Care, we like this definition: Member Care is the ongoing preparation, equipping and empowering of missionaries for the effective and sustainable life, ministry and work. Member Care is a process and it covers every area of a missionaries life, ministry and work. Please pray for us as we look to the Lord for wisdom as we point our missionaries to the Lord. Please pray for our missionaries as they desire to walk with God and be a empty vessel that God can use to reach people around the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We left for Florida the middle of September with the weather oh so nice. Upon returning two weeks later, cold! 🙂
We had our regional member care meetings with our team who work with us to care for our missionaries.
