A Little History…
Rob grew up in South Florida and Amy grew up in South Alabama. We were both raised in Christian homes and spent a lot of time involved in church activities while growing up. We both knew we wanted to do something for God, but didn’t know while growing up what that would be. We met in 2001 while living overseas, in South Korea. 11 months after meeting, dating, and getting engaged, we got married in July of 2002.
After Korea, we lived in Hawaii for 3 years, where our first daughter was born in 2005. This was a wonderful time of serving in our church and learning to be sensitive to God’s calling to full-time foreign missions. We left Hawaii in 2006 and moved to Michigan to begin phase 1 of our missionary training – 2 years of Bible School. This is where our second daughter was born in 2007. After graduating from New Tribes Bible Institute in 2008, we moved to Missouri for phase 2 of our missionary training. While in Missouri, our son was born in 2009.
All along our journey since about 2003, we felt a growing interest and passion for Tanzania. God has opened some amazing doors which will allow us the unique opportunity to be one of the first teams in Tanzania for New Tribes Mission.
Our Great Commission…
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matt 28:19-20
OUR MINISTRY…
…is to reach remote tribal people with the Gospel of Christ. More than 2,500 people groups are still waiting for the good news of the Gospel. God has entrusted the CHURCH with the task of reaching those who have never heard.
OUR DESIRE…
…is to be a part of the CHURCH’S work in REACHing the nations with the message of Christ.
OUR COMMITTMENT…
…is to Go therefore into all the nations and make disciples. We are officially members with New Tribes Mission and in the process of doing partnership development and support raising before heading to Tanzania in 2011. We commit to serving the members of our supporting churches and learning as much Swahili as we can before heading to Africa, so that we will be most prepared and effective when we arrive on the field.
OUR HOPE…
…is that YOU will Partner with us to REACH others with the good news of the Gospel of Christ. We have faith that our great Provider will take care of our daily needs for life and ministry. We recognize our need for believers to be surrounding us in prayer and supporting us financially.
Ways YOU can be a part of our ministry
…for “Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.”
How then shall they call upon Him in whom they have not believed? And…
How shall they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And…
How shall they hear without a preacher? And…
How shall they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “
How beautiful are the feet of those who bring glad tidings of good things! Rom 10:13-15
