Welcome to California!

Hanging on the front porch of long time friends and mentors Dick & Marilyn Herr was this flag that reads "Welcome to the Beach."  As great as it was to spend a bit of time on the beach in southern California, nothing was as great as the "Welcome to California" we recieved from many friends in the area.

During the bulk of our stay in California, we were blessed to have Dick & Marilyn Herr as our hosts.  In fact, when we first arrived, Dick & Marilyn were still on vacation themselves and so we had the privilege of  house sitting for a couple of days.  It was also Dick I was speaking to as we were travelling "Somewhere in the Middle of Kansas" (see previous article).  Durning our stay we were blessed to see them celebrate on June 5th their 49th Wedding Anniversary.  Their friendship and hospitality is just one example of the many ways we have been blessed, not just on this most recent trip, but also on previous trips to California.

To our friends Mike & Edwina, Harvey & Jane, sisters Evylnn & Maribel, Rosemond, Dale & Sue, Bert & Naomi, and anyone else that has made this trip and previous trips special, THANK-YOU!!  We have been truly blessed and pray great blessings on all of you, our friends in southern California.
