Those were the first words out of my wife’s mouth after I saw her coming out of surgery for cataracts in her left eye. Those words were repeated at various times throughout the week since then. Taking care of medical needs is just part of what we were hoping to accomplish during our three month home-assignment. Thanks to some direction we were given by friends at church in Albuquerque we were able to get that accomplished. While on one hand I was a bit disappointed that this delayed our trip to California, those words made my disappointment quickly disappear.
Next we are schedule for some dental work by a dentist friend of ous in California. This is especially timely since Cirena also cracked a tooth recently. Thankfully this has not caused any pain or major difficulty but it something that needs to be dealt with. Cirena is then scheduled for an operation on her right eye in September back in Albuquerque. If she thinks she can see now, just imagine what it will be like when she has two good eyes. Please pray that all goes well, especially as we are scheduled to return to the Philippines in early October. Praise God for His provisions and for allowing us to accomplish those things we need to during this time.
