The incredible day had finally arrived!! Craig was standing at the front of the church with the biggest smile on his face that you have ever seen. He was watching his beautiful bride walking down the aisle of the church on the arm of her father. Claire would soon become his wife!!
Friends and family had gathered together from literally all over the world to witness this beautiful occasion. We were in Birmingham, England and although we had traveled all the way from the Philippines to attend this special event we didn’t win the prize for coming the farthest. A friend had made her way from Sydney, Australia as well as relatives journeying from South America. Smiles were also on the faces of our 15 relatives from the Faroe Islands as well as friends and relatives from Canada as the organ continued to play the bridal march. The groomsmen had flown in from Ontario, Texas and Germany – not to mention the numerous friends who had come from many places in England.
The day continued to provide us all with fond memories as they soon were saying their precious vows to one another and then climbed into a 1931 Lea Francis to be taken to the reception a few km. away. Numerous clicks from the cameras in beautiful outdoor surroundings were soon followed by a delicious meal. The mood was very festive as speeches were given to the bride and groom along with lots of time for mingling with each other while a live band provided the background music. Soon they were on their way to a fairy tale honeymoon in the beautiful Alps in Austria.
What a precious day for us too!! We had the awesome privlege of welcoming Claire into the Niclasen family with wide open arms!! We think she is a gem!! God has given Craig the wife of his dreams – a lovely, sweet companion, who not only loves him, but also our Lord Jesus Christ with all of her heart. We are so happy for them and are thankful to our God and Creator for bringing them together and giving all of us a fantastic day to remember.
