“There is a different way”

August 5, 2026 by Ryan and April Beck

Recently, my Turu friend and I translated several Bible verses together. As we worked, we came to these verses.

Romans 10:3 For they don’t understand God’s way of making people right with himself. Refusing to accept God’s way, they cling to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law. 4For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God.

Immediately following, my friend, after reading and processing it, exclaimed:

“This talk describes us! This is what all of us Turu people are like! Come on, we need to go and tell everyone right now. There is a different way for our hearts to become right with God.”

I took the time to pause and celebrate his heart. I then offered that the first step to moving forward is to,

“First let God’s talk do a work in you, so that then He an start doing His work through you.”

Afterward, we prayed together and watched God’s Word began to reshape his thinking. It really has and helped him see that there is a different way. By the next day, he had already shared these verses with others.

God is working. Please continue praying that many more Turu people will discover there truly is a different way.
