Well traveling with two kids is never easy, but the Lord answered our prayers in many ways. First of all we got onto one of the standby flights on Wed past out of Chicago; if we didnt get one we would have missed our connection to N. Ireland, so praise the Lord for that. More than that we had prayed for an spare seat to be available to enable Nya to lay down and sleep; as we watched this didnt seem possible as it didnt even look like we would get on the flight. The Lord answered prayer again and we got the only three seats left on the plane for the four of us (we only booked two on standby), Nya and Noah slept well and we arrived safely in London.
We were going to be charged 300GBP (shock / horror) for extra baggage coming into N. Ireland as the domestic flight was booked seperately and we were only allowed two 20kg/44llb’s bags for all of us. We had four bags with us from America filled with mostly kids stuff for the next few years. The day before the flight we had contacted the “excess baggage company” to get the extra two bags shipped by boat and road to the house we will be staying at; this is such a cheap way to get your excess baggage to where it needs to be. They got back to us in the morning but because of a typo had gotten our bags sheduled to go to south Korea which we couldnt change. We managed to find there office in Heathrow and get the whole thing sorted out at an even cheaper rate. We had a long wait in Heathrow but made our flight and got picked up by Simon’s parents, who of course hugged the kids and almost forgot about us!
We have a lovely house to stay in whilst in N. Ireland and have enjoyed a good Ulster fry already. Nya and Noah have been sleeping so well and are almost in a perfect routine. We will update you shortly with recent news / prayer requests and our deputation speaking schedule here in the UK. Thank you so much for your prayers for us. Much love in Christ,
Simon, Annika, Nya and Noah
