Well we have been touring Ireland quite a bit; it’s good to be back to enjoy the green, the rain, cups of tea, scenery and one car roads. For those of you who dont know, tea runs through Irish veins and so we have to keep it topped up! We have been busy with visiting old friends, catching up with all of their news which we have thoroughly enjoyed. Time with family has been great and we look forward to much more over the next weeks; Nya is very happy when Nya and Granda come to visit. The kids are very settled right now and are sleeping nights again; Noah is an excellent baby and is sleeping 11hrs a night now, Nya is a real joy, learns new words everyday and loves to swim. Pray for her as she learns new things everyday and is learning to sleep on her own without any help – it’s going surprisingly well! We have also been spending a lot of time with some of the folks from the church here, that has included a men’s morning breakfast and bowling and me preaching and reporting on our work at both past Sunday services (15th Nov).
We have more meetings scheduled for the 19th / 20th / 22nd / 25th / 28th and 29 of Nov and one more scheduled for the 6th /Dec. If you would like to know where these meeting are so you can attend or if you would like to schedule us to take a meeting please send us a note through the contact page or write to my email address. We appreciate your prayers for these meetings, please pray we can raise awareness for the unreached of the world and develope a strong team of prayer partners to church plant with us.
N. Ireland has few differences to America, we enjoy them but they may cause a few of our American friends some confusion. Coke is well known around the world but here in Ireland it’s a town and we spell it a little different.
We have been told by the missionary travel agents we use that flight for Dec and Jan are pretty much booked up. We cant travel after Christmas and so it looks like we will be leaving somewhere in the teens of Dec. We dont know which day our departure to PNG will be yet and are waiting for confirmation on this. Please continue to pray we can get flights confirmed and booked shortly, we would also love to get bassinet seating for the baby.
Please pray for Annika’s grandmother and family; she is suffering with cancer and this is in the last stages, she knows the Lord but please pray for comfort and strength for all.
Pray that we could get all of the kids vaccinations booked and completed before our return.
Pray for strength and spiritual vitality as we preach and report on our work at different churches.
Pray for provision for our flights.
Pray we would continue to be led by the Lord and that He would confirm where we should tribal church plant.
Pray for a vibrant and real walk with the Lord that helps us positvely encourage others with the life of Christ.
PRAISE – our God for provision of a home to rent, car to borrow, toys for the kids and much much more, churches have rallied here to lend us many items which have made life much more fun. We thank God for you all but praise Him for His hand in it all.
Much love in Christ, Simon, Annika, Nya and Noah
