The Bible narrates a short story found in the book of Exodus, Chapter 17 where the children of Israel were in the middle of a battle. The story goes that as long as Moses kept his arms lifted up, the battle swung toward the Israelites. However, when Moses let his arms relax and fall, the Israelites started losing. You can imagine how tiring it was for Moses to keep his arms lifted up as this was not a short battle. In fact, Moses got to a point where he could no longer hold up his arms on his own strength. He needed to help of two others…..Aaron and Hur. The Scriptures state that they each came on either side of him and held up his arms until the Israelites were victorious in battle.
What a great picture of missions! In order for this mission to be a success, it is a team effort! We need friends and partners to join with us and “lift our arms up.”
Thank-you for your investment and how you have chosen to steward the resources God has given you!
