And the Raine falls down

November 8, 2007 by Stephen and Rachel Narwold

Well, since Raine is the most exciting thing in our lives right now, I guess it makes sense for her to dominate our blog too…

This particular post is about how she loves to “help” me type. First of all, she always wants to be up on my lap while I’m on the computer… her way of feeling included I guess. When she’s in a rambunctious mood, she’ll walk up on the desk until I put her down. And some times she chases the mouse pointer across the screen. I think she’s toned that down though, since it always ended with her falling off the desk. And I thought cats were supposed to be graceful.

Sigh… cats. I mean on the one hand, there IS all that loose cat hair, spilled milk glasses, dumped trash cans, constant bids for your attention and the occasional ear-splitting shriek when you accidentally step on their tail. (Why do they need a tail anyways?? It only gets in the way!)

But then on the other hand there’s also those moments, often after you’ve had a particularly bad day, when they gaze up at you lovingly with big green eyes, crawl into your lap and curl themselves into a purr-fect little ball of fluff, just waiting for you to stoke their backs and let all the worries of the day melt into oblivion. Sigh… cats.
