Forgive me for the cheesey title. Don’t blame Eida, it’s all my fault — just couldn’t pass it up. 🙂
WE ARE VERY GRATEFUL TO GOD for making it possible for us to visit Esther & Curtis and our Canadian grandkids in Nova Scotia during the last two weeks of August. It was a huge surprise, because we knew we couldn’t afford it and had accepted the impossibility, but our loving and generous Heavenly Father provided some unexpected income to our kids, and they wanted us to come.
We did some camping at the beach, some picnicking, boating and hiking — and a lot of playing in their big yard and reading Winnie the Pooh (A.A. Milne, not Disney).
There were lots of good eats — Eida and Esther fixed Colombian “arroz con pollo” and “arepas” for dinner, Curtis made his famous lemon blueberry pancakes for breakfast, and we indulged in ice cream cones! We made a bunch of great summer memories and took a stack of pictures.
I worked on a small translation project while the house was quiet in the early morning, but once they were up it was time to build Tinkertoy projects and play with Thomas the Train or do a craft project that Grandma had brought.
Rather than write a thousand words, let’s just share some pictures…
Thank you so much for your partnership with us and your prayers for us and our family. We’ll write again soon with ministry news.
In Christ,
Steve & Eida Irwin New Tribes Mission
