We are committed to providing resource material in Spanish to Latin American cross-cultural church planting missionaries.
How did this come to be so important to us?
For 16 years, we invested our lives in the training of Latin American missionaries in Colombia and Mexico.
The four-year training program gave them a good foundation, but it was only a start. Like any professionals, our alumni needed to continue growing and learning on the job. To do that, they needed all the resource material in their hands that was available to their English-speaking foreign missionary partners.
In 1998, we organized Spanish Language Resources to meet that need.
What kind of resource material are we talking about?
NTM has developed many helps for church planters. One key resource is a series of 9+ books of model lessons called Building on Firm Foundations designed to teach the truth of Scripture from creation to Christ and on into Acts and the epistles. Our Spanish-speaking missionaries needed these model lessons as a guide for developing a teaching curriculum in languages of the tribal people groups which they served.
Manuals have also been developed for Literacy, Bible Translation and Culture & Language Acquisition as well as other aspects of cross-cultural church planting. Our Latin American partners are also eager to have technical articles, challenging videos and even web content in Spanish.
Our complete library of Spanish resources is distributed to our missionaries through a member-access website.
