Here are some excerpts (translated) from Rocío’s sister, Nancy: Thank you very much for your prayers. We are happy to report that Rocio’s surgery went well, although it was complicated, as the surgeon had said. It took four and a half hours. She was quite nervous at the beginning, but thanks to God and your prayers, the lady doctor was patient with her. One of the challenges was to remove two “supernumerary” teeth in the upper part of her gums. These were actually the cause of the formation of the cyst in her palate. They had always been there and had been visible in x-rays, but no dentist that she had visited previously had ever said anything about them. Rocío was told to take three days of total care and rest, taking antibiotics and pain medication, eating crushed ice and ice cream to keep down the inflammation. In a couple of weeks they’ll remove the stitches, of which there are many. We should have the result of the cyst biopsy in a week; may God grant that everything goes well. Praise the Lord for His provision for the surgery expenses! Again, thank you for your continued prayers. We also received a note from Rocío herself, praising God for His care and asking us to express her gratitude to all of you who prayed and gave to help her. Her face is still swollen and she’s taking pain meds for the discomfort but she’s looking forward to recovering in the weeks to come. Please pray that the healing goes well, without complications.
