Changing Seasons
Things have changed a bit since I last wrote . . . ever since I made the decision in mid-May to come home for the summer, it’s been full speed ahead!
Since I was due to switch houses anyway, it seemed like a good time to pack everything up, but it became a lot more complex and rushed, especially since international travel is so complicated right now. Sometimes I have to stop and remember who is in control and that my rushing and worrying over things does not actually improve them.
So after some friends returning, hosting ladies’ dinners, my birthday, graduation, another ladies’ retreat, the wrapping up of another missionary care discussion group and another video . . .
. . . after goodbyes with good friends who will be gone a year, packing up and moving all my belongings to be stored in a new house, a communications presentation to new missionaries and cleaning out my house, I’ve made the first of four flights and am currently in Port Moresby before flying to Singapore tomorrow. I’ll make it to the US on Friday afternoon after 30 hours of flying, plus layovers. The good news is, I have some fun travel companions. The bad news is, there will be tears when we part ways, but there is always that ‘paradox’ of hellos and goodbyes when you love two worlds.
