I’m glad you asked! Here’s an update on where I’m at and where I’m heading:
Where are you right now? – I’m currently in Wisconsin for the summer. So if you want to get together, let me know!
Where have you been this last school year? – I’ve been at New Tribes Mission’s Missionary Training Center (MTC) in Roach, Missouri (near the center of the state). Don’t worry, it’s named after Mr. Roach, not after the creepy bug.
What are your plans for the fall? – I’m planning on being back in Missouri at the MTC. I should finish there in December.
What’s the plan for after December, then? – I plan to come back to Wisconsin, where I’ll make preparations for heading overseas. A big part of what I’ll be up to for that next year or so is working on developing a team of prayer partners and financial partners who will be standing with me as I go overseas.
You keep talking about going “overseas.” Where are you going? Why are you going? How long are you going for? – Great questions! I want to live and work with a people group who don’t have a Bible in their language and have never heard about what Jesus did and why that matters for us today. I want to be part of a team who will go and teach them and translate the Bible into their language. There are over 2000 of those people groups around the world, so there are many options as to where to go. Right now it’s looking like West Africa (and I should have more details for you by the end of the year), but that may change. This will be a huge job, one that can only be done by God working in and through us. It will basically take the rest of my life.
