Right now I am listening to the song “Marian, Madam Librarian” from The Music Man. What a noisy library it is!
It is very different than the library I’ve been spending my time at these last few days. This week I am in Dallas, Texas, learning lots of interesting information about African languages at the library of GIAL. I could tell you about the Niger-Congo language family, how the Idaca language is closely related to Yoruba, or the fact that you can actually find Genesis 1-3 in Jula online. But you might think that that is boring, so I’ll keep the fun to myself.
I must stop writing, though, since I checked out 4 books to read tonight. So much fun reading to do – where to start?
