A few weeks ago, on the way home from church I met a lady named Sally and talked to her for a bit. She said that I should come back the next day and we could chat. So after doing my laundry I headed out. On the way I talked to several people. The first conversation was mainly in Jula with a little French. The second was mainly in French with a little Jula. The third was mainly in English with a little French. No wonder my brain gets confused! Then I talked to Sally, mainly in French, but she had a headache so had to leave after a few minutes. On the way home I talked to some guys outside the store that they worked at and talked mainly in French. They were of a different world religion and were trying convince me to be join them in that religion, too (in French). Then I had to go to get back in time for lunch and Jula class, but on the way back I stopped very briefly to say hi to the first people I had talked to in Jula. I purposefully avoided going through the market, in case other people I had talked to for a long time the day before (mainly in French with some Jula) were there, since I didn’t have time to talk to them, too!
Yes, I am continuing to learn and grow. Sometimes it’s fun and easy and sometimes it’s hard and discouraging. So thanks for your continued prayers for me and for those that I’m spending time with. I really appreciate you!
