Have you ever been to a blacksmith shop? I’ve only seen the ones in Old World Wisconsin, a place where you can see what life was like a long time ago in Wisconsin. But this is what a real blacksmith shop looks like today in My Country. The little boy is working the bellows. Those are sheep skins in his hands, and by pumping them up and down it fans the flame in the ashes in front of him for the blacksmith to heat up the iron. The bowl of (quite dirty) water is to cool the iron off when it’s in the right shape.
