That’s a lot of people in the picture. And no, I don’t think that I could tell you all of their names, countries of origin, and countries that they work in. But I could tell you a lot more now than a month ago!
I spent the last week of June at NTM’s first ever West Africa field conference with these lovely people from all over the world and serving all over the world. Ok, so that may be exaggeration. We may only be working in just over a dozen countries and have that many countries of origin from every continent except Antarctica. But it was still quite fun to meet and spend time with so many people serving God in so many different contexts. (The fact that some of the time spent together was in the swimming pool and around delicious meals with daily ice cream was an added bonus.)
Besides spending time with people, we had lots of meetings. Yes, some were rather “normal” or “mundane,” but so many were so good – sharing what God’s doing among people who recently heard the gospel for the first time ever; talking about the challenges and hardships before us and how God is worthy of it all; looking to the direction we’re headed; etc. It was such a good week and I’m privileged to be working among these amazing men and women of God in a God-sized task.
