In my last post, I said that when I got back from my vacation I’d post a few pictures and then you’d know where I went. Well, here you go! If you can’t figure it out, I think that you’ll need to go back to history class. 🙂
Yes, Jen rode on him and I rode on his friend.
Ta-dah!
The sphynx and the pyramid
Fancy mosques I saw. There were so many!
One of the thrones of the famous “King Tut.” He lived between the times of Joseph and Moses. What I loved about it was the footstool with pictures of his enemies. Luke 20:42-43, anyone?
The Nile River
A statue of the Pharaoh Ramses II. I think this is at least one of the Pharaohs that Moses knew. If Moses was around the palace, do you think that he saw this same statue? Crazy!
It was King Darius who wrote on this stone (or had someone write it, I guess). As in the King Darius from the book of Daniel!
And yup, hand-feeding a hippo. They said that we shouldn’t put our hands through the bars. But why not? Gee! 🙂
