My Uncle Steve said that next time I’m in the US I need to teach him how to tie stuff onto his motorcycle. I figured I’d give it some more practice today as I was buying stuff that I’ll need for the village. So on my way home from downtown I had:
Between my legs:
– a 3-foot tall mirror
Hanging from the handlebars:
– a non-stick pot
– 2 clocks – one for on the wall and one for sitting on a desk or table or something
– 12-meters of material made into curtains and such
In my purse:
– 1 cucumber
– 1 little melon
– 3 tomatoes (they didn’t have change when I bought the cucumber, so they gave me the tomatoes instead)
– 1 big can of ravioli
– 1 dishwashing scrubby
– 1 metal dishwashing scrubby
Tied onto the back of the moto:
– 4 meters of material for skirts or outfits
– 1 kilogram of popcorn (not popped)
– 1 pair of flip flops
– 1 mortar and pestle
– 1 small gourd scoopy thing
– 1 wok-type pot
– 1 hand broom
I could have fit more on if I had tried, but I didn’t see a place along the way to buy the two big yellow water jugs I was looking for. Those will have to wait for another day, I guess.
Do you think I’m ready to teach you, Uncle Steve?
