Arriving back in Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon, I have now made it all the way around the world!
- 2 months
- 3 continents
- 4 countries
- 8 languages (most of them that I only knew a few random words in!)
- 8 1/2 days without my suitcases
- 11 plane rides
- 28,000+ miles traveled (the circumference of the earth is 24,901 miles).
Thanks for your prayers for my safety, health, connections, etc. All went well and with no problems, and I know that’s because there were so many of you praying. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
The last part of my trip was helping and continuing to learn at a course in Thailand. It was about language learning and how to advise and encourage language learners. Lord willing I was able to be a blessing to the small group that I led there and also to have learned things that will help me minister to others better in the future, too.
“Are you around for a while now, Susie?” Well, I’m planning on being in the US until January. I have a few big projects that I’m working on, as well as catching up on things I fell behind on while I was gallivanting around the world for two months. 🙂
“So what happens in January?” Glad you asked! I was asked to base out of Senegal, West Africa starting in January. As I’m still living in the “in-between time,” I get to continue with other “projects” – helping at a linguistics training, training someone in People Group Assessments, helping others with their linguistics, etc. There are still lots of unknowns, so feel free to ask any questions you may have, but I may or may not have answers. 🙂
Well, that’s all for now. Thanks so much for your prayers, and happy Thanksgiving!
