Since I’ve now been back in the US for almost two months, I wanted to share a few of the things I’ve been up to lately.
Discourse Analysis
For quite a while now I’ve been supposed to be working on my Discourse Analysis write-up on the Jula language. It’s to give me practice as well as to better prepare me to help others figure out how their languages work. While “Safer at Home” during COVID-19 I’ve been able to make good progress on it! I still have a long ways to go, but it’s definitely making progress!
Harp on Facebook
I’ve really enjoyed getting to play my harp on Facebook Live once or twice a week for the last almost 2 months! And by playing online, it means that I don’t even have to transport it anywhere. 🙂 Playing my harp online is one way that I’ve been able to add some fun, some calm, some worship, something different in the lives of those who want to listen. If you haven’t been listening but would like to, feel free to check out all of my past videos on Facebook.
Random
There have been a bunch of other random things, too – reading a book I’ve been asked to read, helping people with discourse and alphabets, communicating with friends and partners, staying in touch with people in West Africa, spending time with my parents, enjoying the spring, etc.
What have you been up to during this time of COVID-19 and the restrictions that have come with it?
