Sometimes expressions are funny across languages. Yesterday I learned a new one here in My Language: “Ka ba ŋũɛ̃ ʼpee nĩĩgire.” Literally, it means, “Donʼt say it a second time.” And itʼs used to confirm that you are totally in agreement with what the other person just said, or that he said what you were thinking. Aka, it could be translated as “You can say that again!”
Isnʼt that funny? “Donʼt say it a second time” can be translated as, “You can say that again!” It reminds me yet again that you have to be careful in translation!
Thank you for the birthday greeting. 84 years on this planet is something I hadn’t considered. ‘One day at a time sweet Jesus’ takes on a new meaning to me.
I got half way through Revelation and my old brain became confused with all the characters, so I started reading the Bible backwards and that I undestood much better.
