Transitioning in February 2008

February 5, 2008 by

Our oldest, with Avé and little Abby- visited for Christmas 2007.

My prediction was true! We predicted not knowing what this year would bring and January surprised us already! About 10 days ago, Mom Peterson had a mini-stroke and we rushed her to the Emergency, from where she was urgently rushed by ambulance to Huntsville (over 1 hour away) and she ended up in the Neurological Intensive Care unit there for several days. But in the end they ruled out a brain tumor, saying it was just a bleed into her brain, and released her for 3-weeks of Rehabilitation at the nursing home where Dad Peterson was just finishing his rehab. Now we are waiting to see how much recuperation Mom will have: will she be able to return home, need to live with us, or need long-term care in a nursing home, like Dad?

See our Prayer & Praise items for this month in the Link on the left.
