Hi prayer partners,
Well, summer must be over – since the kids are all going back to school (even our oldest grandson, Brandon, has started first grade in north Idaho.) I haven’t finished all my "summer" jobs around the house – like winterizing a dog-house for Pete; or insulating our waterlines under the house – but deskwork is calling, and I better stay on schedule.
I expect this month to be pretty busy writing and editing scripts and PowerPoints for the WorldView Trips orientation sessions. One I am still working on is using a lot of illustrations about the Yanomamo tribe. This was the tribe that my parents John & Hedy Enns had worked with in Brazil, and with whom my sister Gwen & her husband Joel Hartman are still doing church-planting and Bible translation. They recently ordained the first two church leaders at the local Yanomamo church where they work. I have fond memories of living with the Yanomamo, as a teen, and now God is answering our prayers for building His church among these, who a few years ago were an Unreached People Group.
On October 6th, Aaron & Amy Speitsbach plan to move to Abidjan to live next to an African pastor & his family for a few months, as they get orientated to Ivorian life and culture. They will be moving to a Glaro village after that, where Lesley Wolfe is already working on the Bible translation for the Glaro people group.
See our Prayer & Praise items for this month in the link on the left.
Gladly in His service,
Theo & Martha Enns
