Happy Thanksgiving, Canadians, and greeting of Praise to all,
Aaron & Amy Speitelsbach are flying to Abidjan today (Oct.6) to join Lesley Wolfe full-time among the Glaro people group. Aaron is from Germany, but he married a girl from Dixon, Tennessee, that he met in NTM missionary training. They will be living for a few months in Abidjan, next door to an African pastor and his family who will help them adjust to African culture and local usage of the French language (which Aaron & Amy have studied for 10 months in France). Then they plan to move into a Glaro village in the southwest of Côte d’Ivoire, where Lesley is, to learn the Glaro culture and language, as well, so they can then begin the process of preparing for church-planting among that unreached people group. Pray for the stability of Ivory Coast, and that the elections planned for November 30 will actually take place; and then that both the tribal peoples from the north and the pro-government peoples in the south will accept the results. Other NTM missionaries hope to be able to move back to the three ethnic groups we were working with in the north, as soon as they can, as well.
Meanwhile, Martha and I are still caring for her aging parents. Dad Peterson seems resigned (that is, almost content) to staying at the Veterans’ Home in Huntsville, and we take Mom to visit him at least twice a week. She also needs constant supervision and orientation, but we praise the Lord neither of them has any major on-going health problems, right now. So I have been able to log fairly regular hours in our office-at-home, working on scripts and PowerPoint presentations for the WorldView Trips program. Last month we enjoyed a short but sweet visit from my brother & his wife for a couple nights. They came down from Fort Erie, Ontario where he is now pastoring a small bi-lingual congregation. Although the immigrants there are mostly from Colombia, they are thrilled to have a couple with 25 years’ experience in Bolivia able to minister to their spiritual needs in their heart language.

Gladly in His service,
