Holding on in December 2008

December 24, 2008 by

Theo and Martha, best friends for life!

Merry Christmas to all,

Martha and I just celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary, and decided we want at least 35 years more – should He tarry. What a privilege to still be enjoying such a best friend – and it just keeps getting better & better as the days go by! Our days, of course, are in the Hands of our very Best Friend, since we really don’t even know how this Christmas & New Year’s season will play out, with Dad Peterson under hospice care at the Veterans’ Home. But the truths of the God’s Word remain constant and true, and His peace is ours through the Bethlehem-born Saviour who remains with us always.

News from West Africa is also uncertain: as our mission flight program is under restrictions; as Guinea’s president died and his succession is contested; and missionaries still don’t feel free to move to northern Ivory Coast since the former rebels have not yet disarmed, and democratic elections have not taken place. So we covet your prayers that the Good News of peace to all men may continue to be spread in areas that still have not heard of His birth!

See our Praise & prayer items on the link to the left.

Gladly in His service,

Theo & Martha Enns
