God’s Faithfulness for January 2009

Thank you for your prayers!

‘Great is Thy faithfulness’ was one of Dad Peterson’s favorite hymns, so we sang it at his funeral, as well as ‘When we All Get to Heaven’. His pastor called him a "Statesman of the Church" for over 60 years’ ministry as pastor, missionary, and preacher – even throughout his retirement. We certainly appreciate the many of you who wrote notes and cards of encouragement. We covet your on-going prayers for mom as she adjusts to loosing her husband of 68 years. Martha still catches herself planning the next trip to the nursing home – but, no, that won’t be necessary now.

So what will 2009 hold for us? More of God’s faithfulness! He asks us to serve Him day by day, as He gives us opportunities, so we look forward to the doors He will open for us in the new year. 

It was sure great to have started this year with all three of our children in our home. It was an unexpected joy that our oldest and his family (Aaron, Ave’, Abbie & Analise) were states-side, and could be with us at this time, too!
