Although we have had this blog for awhile it has mostly sat unused, mostly due to the fear that I didn’t know what to do. So I figured that it is time to “catch up” with technology”, overcome my fear of blogging, and keep you updated on us and the ministry the Lord has given us.
With 5 children still living at home, life is very busy. Tim, of course, is at the office each day, working with the New Tribes Medical Plan. This Plan provides health and life insurance for our NTM members. His day pretty much, is spent at the computer answering questions that our members have about the Medical Plan. If he isn’t on the computer, he is on the phone. We have definitely seen enough through his ministry there, to show us the need for missionaries to have medical insurance. PRAY that he can effectively explain things to people and minister to their needs in that way.
I, Teresa, have no one at home during the day this year, as Jacob (now 6) is attending our mission school. However I keep extremely busy. My days consistent of cleaning and cooking of course, but also thrown in the mix is substitute teaching at the kid’s school, teaching Sunday School and Awana, and working with the women’s ministry at church. I have also found, having a bit more free of a schedule, that there are many people who need someone to minister to them. Lately this has been friends and fellow missionaries who have health issues. So I have been able to use this time to help to minister to their needs. PRAY that I will use my time wisely and find a balance between the needs I want to meet for others , the needs at church and the needs of my own family.
The children are all doing well and I can add things about them later. But I have now taken the step to get this blog going and so I’m hoping to blog regularly now.
