July 8th we arrived in Jacksonville after several flights and much fatigue!

Lots of flying!

So fun to be back in Florida!
We were blessed by two generous families sharing their homes with us while we dealt with jetlag. After that we made a road trip up to Michigan to connect with my family, friends, and also a few supporters. It was the perfect timing to enjoy the summer fun in Michigan and catch some fresh fish. “Papa’s fish” and tartar sauce are always a treat our kids miss when we are away. It was so good to be with family- in a span of 3 weeks we had time with my parents and both siblings who live in Japan and Michigan, not something that happens very often.

We enjoyed lots of beachcombing and sushi in Japan with family!

We’re now in Jacksonville getting settled. Dina and Abby have both graduated from High School and we are in a place to now help them transition to living in the States and making a switch in their minds to this country being their home for a while. They are looking for jobs and preparing for some classes that will start in December and in the spring. The physical transition is one thing but then the many layers of relationships, American culture and norms, and then all the emotions that come with changing your world around will take quite a while to adjust to and begin making positive traction in. Thank you for your prayers esp. for the girls during this next year!

For all of you in the Jacksonville area, please consider attending a ministry update and luncheon at Christian Family Chapel on Sunday, October 5th. This will take place after the regular services in an available classroom. This type of forum gives us an opportunity to share more personally the journey we have been on and the future opportunities we are investing in. Hope to see you there!
We want to say a huge “Thank You” to each one of you who follows our correspondence, sends a note, prays for our family and ministry context, and shares with us financially! ***We appreciate you***
