These are a Few (More) of My Favorite Things:
Friday night dinners with friends.
Quiet Saturday mornings.
A clean house.
Clean clothes.
Ham-chicken, baked potatoes with butter and sourcream, and a good friend to share it with.
Sisters in Christ of every nationality.
Singing God’s praise with His people.
Hearing the Word taught.
Hearing the passion of others to see mature churches and believers everywhere!
Getting off the Center to go shopping in town.
Getting more on my “wanted list” than on my “needed” list.
Fried chicken and French fries…finger lickin’ good even if the Colonel didn’t make it!
Getting a new laundry hamper. (Really…it’s the little things…)
Second-hand clothes shopping.
Spontaneous meetings in town with patients whom God has treated using our clinic.
Discovering the Digicel Star auditions in town. …And no, I don’t know who won though I’ll probably be hearing them in the ads soon. …And no, I did not audition. Pity, I know. You’re disappointed.
Saturday afternoon naps.
Sunday afternoon naps.
Monday holidays leading to Monday afternoon naps. (Spoiled, I know!)
The smell of chocolate cookies baking. (Yes, Stuenzis…that means pixies. Come visit me and I’ll let you have some!)
A superb theme dinner with friends…dining with the rich and famous! “Ritzy” style everywhere!
Sewing Ritz crackers into a fabulous necklace and earrings ensemble for the occasion.
Pepperoni and cheese on Ritz crackers. (NOT the ones I was wearing, of course.)
Playing a life-sized Clue game throughout our hosts’ “mansion”.
Lying on a blanket outside reading a good mystery novel.
Catching up with friends via email.
Hearing of God’s work around the world.
Knowing He’s here with me.
Beautiful, hazy sunsets over the mountains.
Rain on my tin roof to sleep by.
