In just over two weeks, on November 14th, Beth’s younger sister Abby and her husband Nathan will be MOVING to Asia Pacific! We are so excited for them and feel like just yesterday we were leaving the comfort and security of our home country to head into the unknown of moving to another country. It can be both exhilarating and terrifying all at the same time. 🙂

The island nation they are moving to, referred to as Asia Pacific, is home to 13,600 islands and over 700 language groups, many of which have never had a chance to hear the gospel in their own language! Once they arrive in the country, and after getting settled, they will begin learning the national language & culture. Once this time is complete, they will work with their leadership to determine their future location of ministry reaching an unreached people group.

Nathan & Abby were challenged into missions by the reality that of the world’s 6,500 languages, over a third have no access to a gospel witness in their language! Wow. This is a staggering amount of languages with no access to the gospel. We have been encouraged to hear Nathan & Abby’s heart for reaching those who have never had a chance to hear.

Once they move into a village, they will spend time learning the language and culture of the people they are there to reach, and building Christ honoring relationships with them. Their goal is to present the gospel through clear, chronological Bible teaching and see a church born. They will continue to disciple those believers, teaching and equipping them until the church is brought to maturity and reaching others!

What Can YOU Do Right Now to Help Send Them Off???

Currently, they are at 70% of their monthly recommended support for their ministry in Asia Pacific. There are also moving expenses as they get depart and get settled in their new home overseas. Here are some PRACTICAL ways YOU can ENCOURAGE them and SEE them off well!
