Some Trip Reflections

February 10, 2010 by Tom

You know how you go through life making plans and always thinking to yourself that they will work out just how you thought? And then they don’t… at all? 🙂 Well, that is what we think of our trip. Now don’t get us wrong, this was not a bad thing-it was just a surprise.

The primary purpose for this trip in our minds was to share about our ministry plans and gain more financial support. Ironically, a few of the meetings and connections we had set up before leaving didn’t really work out in the way we had thought they would. We did have a few good sharing opportunities, but not nearly the amount we had hoped. Instead, throughout our trip the Lord kept surprising us with opportunities to have a wonderful time as a family. Many places we went we were given free tickets to do things we never thought we would ever have the chance to do. So as we look back at the past month on the road we are so thankful to God for the pleasant surprise he gave us with a vacation and so much adventure!

We are continuing to trust God that He will work in the hearts of those we did share with to have the desire to partner with us through prayer and finances. Aside from that all we can say is thank you Lord, for blessing us with things we did not NEED, but things that we had not even dared to hope for. As usual He has surpassed our expectation in a magnificent way!
