Recalde Reflections

September 17, 2014 by Tracy Recalde

NTM HOMES“God’s plans are always best, no matter how, or when, or where they may lead.”

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

Dear Praying Friends and Prayer Partners,

We are nearing the end of our home assignment and are so thankful for God’s protection in all of our travels and for this time of resting our bodies and refreshing our souls.

Thank you so much for your prayers for us during this time. We have felt them.

As you know by now, we have phased out of our work at the Indian Colony in Paraguay and there is now a fundamental Church with faithful Christian Tribal leaders. To God be all the honor, glory and praise! We rejoice to see what God has done and continues to do in hearts and lives there.

Please continue to pray for the Tribal believers, that they would be strengthened in their faith and knowledge of Him.

Please pray that more National Churches will take an interest in helping to reach the unreached in their own country for Christ.

After much prayer we feel that God is leading us at this time to serve on staff at the New Tribes Mission Retirement center(NTM HOMES where we served in 2010-2011) and we want to become involved in reaching the local Spanish-speaking people in their own language with the Gospel message. We see a great need in this area and your prayers are appreciated as we are looking to the Lord for wisdom and guidance.

Although our location will change, our full-time ministry commitment to God and serving with New Tribes Mission has not changed.

Please pray for us as we continue to look to our Lord to supply our needs since those of us who serve as missionaries on staff at NTM HOMES are not paid a salary. We serve there as New Tribes Missionaries and depend on the help of God’s People, who give as unto the Lord. We hope that you, our brothers and sisters will support and pray for us in this decision and change of ministry. For we are laborers together with God. 1 Corinthians. 3:9

“The New Tribes Mission retirees at the NTM HOMES have all been involved in contacting Tribal groups, have spent many years learning their language and translating God’s Word into the Tribal language. Many of our retirees have grown children who are serving as missionaries overseas and and knowing that their parents are cared for at NTM HOMES, they feel they can continue their ministry in a foreign country.”~NTM

Tim and Peggy Castagna: “We thank God for the NTM retirement Homes. NTM HOMES frees us up to continue to minister here in the Philippines as we reach Tribal People.”Darlene Marshall writes: “I am thankful that I can continue in ministry on the foreign field without worrying about my parents.”

Please continue to pray for each of our tribal locations in Paraguay. Pray that God will work in the hearts of the people to see their need for Christ. Pray for the new missionaries who have arrived recently as they learn the language & culture so that they can share Christ with them soon!

*Please continue to Pray also for Tracy concerning the frequent headaches that she has been experiencing for the last several years which do not seem to be getting any better.

In Christ’s Service,

Samuel & Tracy Recalde
