Dear Praying Friends, March 2017
First of all we want to thank you very much for being our coworkers. Thank you for your support and prayers which enable us to continue in our ministry serving the Lord here at NTM Homes.
NTM’s 75th Anniversary – New Tribes Mission formally began in the spring of 1942. Paul Fleming said, “We were just a group of fellows who desired honestly to give our lives for Jesus Christ. We were a group of young men with nothing but faith.” New Tribes Mission: “In 75 years NTM has grown from a team of four to over 3,000 missionaries from 45 countries working among 259 people groups; 1,200 churches have been planted, and 640 of those churches have elders; 79 New Testaments have been translated and 110 translations are in progress. And the goal is still the same: to see a thriving church among every people group in the world.” Praise The Lord!
Please pray for Samuel and his Ministry trip to Paraguay this month. He flies out of Miami on March 22nd and is routed through Panama this time. Please pray especially for safety and protection and that the weather and road conditions will be good, so that he can travel interior and that he can be a help and encouragement to the Tribal Church leaders out at the Indian Colony. Please pray for Tracy, for health and strength as she continues in our ministry here at NTM Homes in Samuel’s absence.
This is Ruben. We used to call him our “Tribal son” because when he was growing up, Ruben would arrive at our house early in the morning and again after school until late afternoon, when he would go home to his grandmother who he had lived with since he was very small. Samuel used to teach in the school that Ruben attended during our first term on the field as missionaries. We are so proud of the man that Ruben has become! He is now a school teacher and also coordinates the schools in the surrounding Indian Colonies. He has been able to help his People by getting school supplies and also food for the Tribal children who attend school. Please pray for Ruben that he will be a good testimony as he travels on his motorcycle to the different towns and Colonies.
We are thankful for the new Chaplain and his wife who arrived this month to begin serving here at the NTM Homes. This was a huge answer to our prayers!
Please pray concerning the health of a number of our retirees in the hospital, rehabilitation facilities and nursing home.
Please continue to pray for those of us on staff at NTM Homes, that The Lord would supply our daily needs.
