What job could be so important?
On this day, three Kodiaks (two of them pictured) delivered about one and a quarter tons of cargo and nine Christian school teachers to this airstrip. One ton of the cargo was shuttled load after load by the R66 helicopter from this airstrip to another remote village where a family was returning to their church planting location after some time away. Other cargo belonged to the teachers who will stay right in this village to help staff an elementary school designed to equip the next generation, preparing them to be future leaders who will strengthen the local church. Especially satisfying to Travis, this was his first day to fly solo into a bush strip in Papua New Guinea, after six intense months of in-country flight training.

Family News
In July we spent 10 days in Australia having a break and doing some medical checkups. Everyone had a good rest and enjoyed some foods we hadn’t had in awhile. Becky’s mom met us there and traveled back to PNG with us for a few weeks. The first week of August Hannah started kindergarten and is loving it (thanks for your prayers!) Please pray for wisdom in raising our children, for good health, and for safety and wisdom for Travis as he flies into remote locations and begins to take on the Training and Competency Manager role.
Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and support as we serve church planters in Papua New Guinea through aviation!
Love,
Travis & Beck
