Psalm 23:1 “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Ps. 23 was in my daily reading last night and it struck me that “I have everything I need.” (Ps.23:1 in NLT)
When I wrote last month, we had collected about $3000 in our outgoing expenses the whole year. Outgoing expenses includes tickets, vehicle in the Philippines, house set-up, etc., but our goal in outgoing expenses is $24,000! In the last 7 weeks God raised $7500! We serve an amazing God.
We also purchased our tickets! We found a great price and fly mid-July! We still have much to go but we are excited to see how God is answering your prayers! Thank you for praying for us!
We also asked you to pray about what to do with our house. After much prayer and counsel, I have been looking at some property management companies and am really impressed with one. They are very optimistic about our house and have a great track record.
Last month was exciting with our various speaking engagements—two new churches, plus we enjoyed Easter at our home church and Ashley and Juliana came home for the weekend and brought a friend. It was special to be with them, and we were part of the special music for Easter.
Our last two months will fly by quickly. We will speak in churches the next three weeks (two in South Dakota), and a few new churches are discussing us, but we need to focus on preparing to leave too. So pray we will manage our time wisely.
We will go to Calvary Bible College this weekend to see the administration building be dedicated to my uncle, Dr. Leslie Madison, and then see our future daughter-in-law graduate. Abby will graduate from grade 8 on May 22. Our son, Paul, gets married on July 12 in Wisconsin, which will be our last activity before we fly.
Please continue to pray for our finances; I mentioned outgoing expenses above and our monthly support is at 60%, but we are excited to see how God continues to meet our needs. Pray as we begin to pack up, deciding what to store and where to store it. Plus there are many people we would love to see before we return.
Thanks so much for your prayer support! It is such an encouragement to us.
In Christ,
Walter Spicer
