Psalm 50:15, “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me;” or another translation states: Trust me in your times of trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.”
Thank you for praying for us! We have had an exciting week. We have been praying about our house, and our management company showed our house to a family on Wednesday. That family came and signed a one-year contract on Friday and will move in on June 30.
On Thursday, we had a Skype interview with a mission’s committee from a new church, and they have decided to support us for the coming year.
Saturday was our big moving day. Many friends and family members came and helped us move all of our furniture out of the house.
We left our clothes, mattresses, table, folding chairs, and kitchen items to live in our house for one more week as we finish packing up the house and preparing it for renters.
We are truly amazed and encouraged how God continues to answer our prayers as the day of our departure to the Philippines draws closer.
In addition to all of the above we were blessed to attend a Burnham reunion over this weekend, catching up with all of Cheryl’s relatives.
Please pray for Faith Academy as many returning teachers and new teachers travel back to the Philippines, plus pray for staffing as we are still short a few teachers. I hope to Skype a prospective teacher for the middle school this week. Plus continue to pray for our finances as our outgoing expenses are at 61% and our monthly support is at 61%, but we are encouraged how God continues to meet all our needs.
We start our last road trip on July 5, heading north to Wisconsin to attend Paul and Bekah’s wedding on July 12. Then we immediately return to Wichita and fly to the Philippines less than a week later.
Thank you for all your prayers for us. You are all such an encouragement.
In Christ,
Walter and Cheryl Spicer
